The one key which opens the door for the development of leadership qualities in a child is the golden key of:

SELF-RESPECT & SELF-CONFIDENCE
THROUGH AWARENESS OF HIS DIVINE NATURE and SERVICE TO HIS COMMUNITY.

The goal is leadership over oneself.

If this goal 'was the one goal envisioned. through the veiled window of the child's soul,  it would be his constant guide toward self-mastery and the development of himself  into a leader by decisiveness, reliability and self-control.  He would and could:

Accept far distant goals instead of immediate.

Believe in his ability to accomplish the impossible.

Believe in life as meaningful and seek for his personal service to mankind, his message, his mission.

Develop and maintain a high set of morals.

Behavior determined by his own sense of right and wrong.

Face life fearlessly and enthusiastic ally; attracted to unknown without fear of it.

Recognizes that he is a spiritual being constantly growing toward perfection; he therefore is receptive. to change and welcomes it both for himself and situations.

Cultivates the concept of universal love and therefore develops the giving selfless personality which a  leader has, putting the idea or goal before himself.

He will look for and find the good in situations and people and will thus draw it forth.

Receptive to intuitive knowledge through the belief in divine inspiration.

Aware of guidance and therefore abundant energies flow to complete his viewed task.

In the acceptance of being guided, he develops a relaxed, confident, and receptive attitude.

Express a kind, warm, open-hearted nature.  An individual with self-respect need not feel threatened by anyone or any group. He can therefore be warm and open towards people and situations,

Develop curiosity and flexibility of mind since he is not afraid of being wrong. He can constantly search the unknown and be flexible to receive a growing grasp of truth, preferring complex ideas to simple ones.

Strength of character develops into determination and tenacity in attacking a problem regardless the apparent disorder.

Expresses a consistently cheerful, optimistic approach to because he doea not fear the future.

Independent but tolerant mind which recognizes that each individual is being guided by his own divine nature.

HOW TO MOLD THE GOLDEN KEY of SELF-RESPECT
CONTINUAL, PROGRESSIVE MEANINGFUL SUCCESSES

Successes are meaningful only if they are achieved through effort.  The guiding adult need always maintain an air of complete confidence that the child can complete the task.

If a child achieves simple success, requiring little effort, he will display unhealthy over-confidence and he can not learn from his mistakes.

Being successful, the child becomes:

Adventurous and experimental because not afraid o failure.

Can make decisions and accepts the responsibility for the decisions.

Applies himself and uses time effectively, organizer.

Thorough in attending to details and yet capable of an objective overview.

Expects a lot from himself, but patient with co-workers., not afraid of work.

Is willing to try new activities and develops many abilities, although has a few special ones.

Recognizes the power of the mind and practices such things as positive thought, mirror technique, and mental images of future goals and accomplishments.
